Welcome to planDisney, Harriet.
I’m so excited for your upcoming stay at
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter in October! You can start adding a bit of Disney magic right now by checking in online through your My Disney Experience account. During the check-in process, you'll be able to specify room preferences, such as a ground or upper-floor room. If there’s a particular room number you’ve fallen in love with, I suggest giving
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations a call to speak with a Cast Member. I recommend putting in your request as soon as possible and following it up a few weeks away from your adventure. While room requests can’t be guaranteed, Disney Cast Members always do their best to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your stay!
Now, choosing your perfect room all depends on your preferences. Personally, I love the peace and quiet of the upper floors. In my humble opinion, I’d recommend building 4 – it’s close to the Riverside Mill Food Court,
Doubloon Lagoon pool, and bus stops, making it easy to navigate the resort. Honestly, though, the entire resort is the perfect size for convenience, so I believe you’ll be happy wherever you are!
I can’t talk about Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter without mentioning one of its sweetest treasures: the beignets at
Scat Cat’s Club Café. Good food brings folks together, and these beignets are magical! Picture warm, fluffy, Mickey-shaped beignets dusted with powdered sugar – you can order a set of 3 or 6, complete with a delicious dipping sauce. If you’re looking to add a little extra enchantment to your order, try the Baton Rouge Beignets (a special treat for adults!) or really 'jazz it up' with the Mickey-shaped Beignet Sundae.
Wishing you a magical stay filled with pixie dust, delicious treats, and unforgettable memories!
