How long is the sky walk bridge at bay lake towers? it appears to be very long walk to the monorail. any info will be welcome. we are going in July 2016

    Hi Carol,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of my family's favorite resorts. It is so sleek and modern, and the walking distance to Magic Kingdom cannot be beat!

The Skyway Bridge between Bay Lake Tower and the Contemporary Tower is very convenient. The Skyway Bridge is located right off of the south elevator lobby on the fifth floor of Bay Lake Tower. This connects to the fourth floor of the Contemporary Tower. Monorail Station access is from the fourth floor of the Contemporary Tower, though you do need to use an escalator or elevator to go up to access the monorail.

While this may sound far, it is actually quite convenient. From the fifth floor south elevator lobby of Bay Lake Tower, accessing the monorail takes about five minutes. If you have a villa or studio that is on a floor further away from the fifth floor and toward the north end of Bay Lake Tower, getting to the monorail might take closer to 10 minutes. Some guests request accommodations on the fifth floor of Bay Lake Tower because it makes access to the Skyway Bridge simpler.

I hope that this information is helpful to you, Carol. Have a great time planning your Walt Disney World vacation, and please let us know if you have any further questions.
