This is a long shot I know! My son is a professional dancer and has always wanted to dance in the afternoon parade and loves Dream along with Mickey. Is there any chance that he could dance in the parade when we visit again this year for his 18th birthday

Hi Annemarie!  What a wonderful ambition your son has to be a part of a Disney parade.  I am sure he had put in many long hours perfecting his talents and I hope he finds a place where he can work and love using his dancing.

Unfortunately Disney uses their own professional dancers for all entertainment productions.  For safety reasons they would not be able to allow day guests to participate in the parades. Their own cast practices many hours knowing the ways to get down Main Street and the park that allows it to be entertaining as well as safe for all participating.

I do have one suggestion for your son though. Three times a day Disney puts on a street party called Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It and it is a parade of sorts that moves down Main Street with floats and dancers and stilt walkers and circles around the area in front of the castle.  At that time the guests are encouraged to come and dance in the street with the characters and dancers and your son could have a blast doing that!  Our own panel had fun last year doing an impromptu street dance together and we will never forget the laughs and fun we had.  I bet your son could dance down a challenge or two for some of the Disney dancers!  The street party is held almost daily at 11am, 12:30pm and 5:40pm.  Check that out.....and have the time of your life!
