How long does it take to riding and transferring on the monorail from the Polynesian Resort to Epcot?

    Hi Yvonne!

It looks like you'll be arriving very soon for your Walt Disney Resort vacation! I'm happy to give you some options and advice regarding traveling from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to EPCOT.

One pixie-dusted path involves a leisurely stroll from the Polynesian Resort to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). This walk lets you take in the tropical vibes, taking about 5 to 10 minutes. At the TTC, you'll hop onto the EPCOT monorail, which will take you straight to your destination. Once you've boarded the monorail, this direct ride to EPCOT takes around 15 minutes, making your total journey time about 20 to 25 minutes.

Another option would be to start your adventure on the Resort Monorail right from the Polynesian Resort. This ride will loop through the Magic Kingdom resorts, with brief stops at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Magic Kingdom Park, and Disney's Contemporary Resort before reaching the TTC. This route lets you take in the sights of these iconic resorts and catch glimpses of Magic Kingdom, turning your monorail journey into part of the adventure!

The Resort Monorail journey to the TTC can take about 15 to 20 minutes, considering wait times and the stops. Once you reach the TTC, you'll transfer to the EPCOT monorail, which will take another 15 minutes to reach EPCOT. Using this travel option could make your total travel time around 30 to 35 minutes.

    Comparing the two:
Direct TTC Walk: Quicker, with a total travel time of about 20 to 25 minutes. It's a straightforward route with a peaceful walk and a direct monorail ride to EPCOT.
Resort Monorail: More scenic, with a total travel time of about 30 to 35 minutes. It offers a tour of the Magic Kingdom resorts and views of Magic Kingdom Park before transferring to the EPCOT monorail.

(please note that these are estimated times, and could vary due to crowds, time of day, etc.)

Both routes have their own sparkle and charm! If time is of the essence, the direct walk to the TTC is your best choice. If you're in the mood for a scenic tour with a touch of extra Disney magic, the Resort Monorail journey might just be the path for you! Whichever you choose, your journey to EPCOT is sure to be magical!

I hope this helps, and that you have a wonderful Disney vacation!
