Hi Jennie, thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
I recently spent some time exploring
Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and we used the internal bus system to get around. Did you know you can take archery lessons at the Bike Barn? The
Fort Wilderness Archery Experience consists of a short lesson in archery safety and how to use the bow, then plenty of time to perfect your aim. I felt like a real-life Merida!
The internal bus ride took us about 10 minutes to get to the Settlement Depot stop. Then you’ll take a short walk past Pioneer Hall and Settlement Trading Post to reach the Boat Launch. If you’re on a tight schedule, make sure you give yourself enough time if you have to wait for your bus or boat. The internal buses at Fort Wilderness run every 15-20 minutes and the
boats run every 15- to 30- minutes.
I hope you enjoy your stay at the Fort Wilderness Cabins, Jennie. As I said, take some time to check out the activities offered at Fort Wilderness. I’m hoping I can try out a
canoe rental or
wagon ride on my next visit! If you have any more questions, please
come back and see me at planDisney!
