    About how long does it take to ride the ferry over to the Magic Kingdom? & I was wondering how much time should be planned to take transportation from Disney Port Orleans - French Qtr to MK, Epcot, DHS & DAK?

    Hi Christopher!

    Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

    The Ferry Ride from the Transportation and Ticket Center across the Seven Seas Lagoon to the gates of Magic Kingdom, takes only about 10 minutes! Keep in mind a bit of extra time spent boarding and unloading the ferry on either side of course!

    You're going to love the charm of Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. It's absolutely my #1 favourite Moderate Resort at Walt Disney World.

    Transportation to Magic Kingdom you'll find will take about 20-25 minutes including stops at the adjacent Port Orleans Riverside Resort along the way.

    Epcot is just a short, 10-15 minute bus ride away and Hollywood Studios is also about the same.

    The trip over to Disney's Animal Kingdom will take you about 15-20 minutes on average.

    Always allow for an additional 10-20 minutes of possible wait time for your transportation to arrive. It's always best to allow yourself an hour of travel time in order to be sure to make it to a dining reservation or appointment on time.

    Be sure to also plan some time to visit the shops, restaurants and nightlife of Downtown Disney, just a short 10 minute boat ride down the Sassagoula River from your quaint resort!
