How long are pools open at Disney resorts? Do they close them in the winter?

    Hello Morgan!
I have great news for you, all of the pools in the Resorts and Water Parks are heated to around 80 degrees Fahrenheit and they are open year round. Typically one of the Water Parks is closed in January for refurbishment, but one of them is always open for Guests.  Normally all of the Resort pools are open as well unless they are undergoing refurbishment. Most Walt Disney World Resorts have more than one pool per Resort so even if one is closed, you still will have a place to swim. The thing to consider is the temperature of the air above the water in the winter time. It does tend to really cool down fast after the sun goes down in the winter so swimming at night might be too cold even though the water itself is heated. I would recommend swimming in the day when the sun is shining for maximum enjoyment! I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!
