How long should I plan for dining? We have signature restaurants for dinner, table service for lunches and a couple character breakfast/lunches. What is the average time spent at each type of meal (we are quick eaters)?

    Hi Jennifer!

I love dinning in Walt Disney World because there are so many world class restaurants and dinning experiences to choose from.  It has been my experience that dinning time in Walt Disney World averages between 1 to 3 hours.  Even if you are quick eaters and you already know what you plan on ordering, it still takes time to get seated, order your food, cook your food, be served your food including dessert, and to pay the bill.  The signature restaurants will take longer as well because of the multiple food items coming to you.  My philosophy is that if you are paying for fine dining, then you should take your time enjoying the food and atmosphere without feeling rushed.  I normally plan at least 2 hours for most sit down restaurants and Character Meals in Walt Disney World and 3 hours minimum for signature restaurants.  I hope this helps you plan your dinning at Walt Disney World.

May every meal that you have on your next trip to Walt Disney World be the best meal that you ever have had!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
