Hi Evren! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for your spooktacular question!
The
Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party is meant to be a sweet pause in the middle of all the Halloween-time excitement. This year, however, it comes with a bit of a pumpkin-sized question mark! In past years, the Dessert Party included reserved viewing for the Frightfully Fun Parade, making it easier to estimate the overall time commitment. For 2026, Guests will instead enjoy reserved viewing for
Madame Leota's Swinging Wake, and since this brand-new entertainment offering hasn't made its debut yet, I'm not quite sure how long the street party fun will last.
I did the Dessert Party myself last year, and I can tell you it was a welcome break from all the boos, ghouls, and thrills of the evening! After several hours of Trick or Treating and soaking up the spooky atmosphere, having a comfortable seat, delicious desserts, and a chance to rest my feet was magical. I was especially grateful for the reserved viewing area, which allowed me to relax instead of staking out a spot and waiting.
One of my favorite things about Oogie Boogie Bash is how much there is to experience throughout the night. Between immersive
Treat Trails featuring rare Disney Villains, entertainment offerings, shorter attraction wait times, and plenty of opportunities to collect enough candy to fill a cauldron, it's easy to stay busy from the moment you enter
Disney California Adventure Park until the witching hour approaches.
My best guess is that you'll want to allow at least an hour or so to fully enjoy the Dessert Party experience, but until Guests have had a chance to experience Madame Leota's Swinging Wake for themselves, we'll all be eagerly waiting to see exactly how the evening unfolds.
Wishing you a practically perfect visit filled with happy haunts, sweet treats, and all the spellbinding fun Oogie Boogie Bash has to offer, Evren! I am attending the first party of the season, and planning on snagging a Dessert Party reservation when they become available on August 6th, so I hope to be able to report back some firmed up timing!
Your frightful friend,
Kimberly
