How long does it take to get from one park to another?

    Hey, Victoria!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is my pleasure to help a fellow Georgian work out these Walt Disney World Resort logistics. It's what Tiggers like me do best.

First, the standard Walt Disney World Resort disclaimer: Please allow 90 minutes when traveling within Walt Disney World Resort property.

In my experience, travel time depends on the time of the day, distance to travel, mode of transportation and whether you are using Disney's Complimentary Resort Transportation or a private mode of transportation such as Uber/Lyft/taxi/personal car. For example, to get from Magic Kingdom Park you may either take the Walt Disney World Monorail which will take around 40 minutes (transfer required at Transportation & Ticket Center to the Epcot Monorail) or take a bus to an Epcot Resort Area hotel and walk to Epcot's International Gateway entrance (60 minute trip if your bus wait is short). In private transportation, the trip could be 10-15 minutes between theme parks. We budget 40 minutes when using Disney transportation.

Disney Dad Tip: Since July I have been using the My Disney Experience Mobile App feature "Get Directions" where I enter any two Walt Disney World Resort destinations and receive turn-by-turn instructions. If there is more than one option such as Magic Kingdom Park to Epcot, I choose the best route for me.

Victoria, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
