Hi Rachel,
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The Monorail is my daughter's favourite way to travel at Walt Disney World Resort.
Unfortunately, the Monorail does not stop at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The Monorail makes stops at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Magic Kingdom Park, The Transportation and Ticket Center and Epcot. If you would like to enjoy the Monorail, feel free to hop on at any of these locations, and enjoy the highway in the sky!
In order to get to any of the Theme Parks from Disney's Art of Animation Resort, you will need to take a bus that departs from the front of your Resort. Buses leave approximately every 20 minutes and travel time varies depending on each Theme Park, as well as traffic throughout Walt Disney World Resort.
Personally I have found that the actual bus ride to Magic Kingdom Park takes between 15 - 25 minutes (travel time only, not including waiting for the bus to arrive). For Epcot, since it is closer to Disney's Art of Animation, travel time is anywhere between 10 - 20 minutes. Travel time to Disney's Animal Kingdom should be anywhere between 10 - 15 minutes. Please remember that these times are only travel times and do not account for how long it takes for the bus to arrive or traffic throughout the resort. Walt Disney World Recommends leaving up to 120 minutes to travel between destinations throughout the Resort, to ensure you arrive at your destination in time.
I hope that helps, Rachel. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to assist with your planning.
Stephanie
