How long does it take to get to each of the 4 main parks from the Caribbean Beach Resort via the Disney buses? I always underestimate how long everything take and want to plan more precisely for my next trip in October. Thanks!

    Hi Elizabeth,

Welcome to planDisney! I am thrilled to see you doing such detailed planning for your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Transportation times are so important to estimate so that you can give yourself enough time to travel from place to place. I always recommend allowing an hour and a half to get from our resort hotel to a theme park. This usually is enough time to account for delays in bus service. Having said that, use the My Disney Experience Mobile App to get estimated wait times for Walt Disney World® transportation. In the Mobile App, use the search feature to enter your starting location. Click on the official name once you see it appear. From the next screen, you should be able to click on Get Directions and then enter the name of the second location. Once you enter the name of the second location, you should see transit options and estimated transit times.

When I entered Get Directions from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to Magic Kingdom park tonight, it gave me an estimated transit time using Walt Disney World® Bus Service of 52 minutes. When I checked transit options to Disney's Hollywood Studios, the only option listed was the Disney Skyliner and the estimated transit time was 17 minutes. The Disney Skyliner was also listed as the transit option to EPCOT and the transit time was estimated at 30 minutes. The transit option to Disney's Animal Kingdom was bus service and the estimated transit time was 53 minutes. So, start using the mobile app's Get Directions feature to get estimated transit times to your advanced dining reservations and other plans!

When you arrive, I would also recommend that you check the operating hours for the Disney Skyliner. There are signs posted at the Skyliner stations. We occasionally use a ride share service like Lyft or Uber if we need to get to a dining reservation at an odd time. I will say that you are traveling right after the launch of The World's Most Magical Celebration so, plan for more transit time considering the crowds!

Elizabeth, keep making those plans! Know also that you can use Mobile Dine Check-in with the mobile app as long as you are close enough to the restaurant. We loved using this service to check-in for our dining reservations!

    Magic and memories,
