How long is Magic kingdoms night time parade? How much travel time should I plan to get from Magic Kingdom to Epcot via monarail immediately after the first parade.

Hi there, Nicole, and welcome to planDisney!

You’re in for quite the treat. The Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade is officially one year old and it’s easily one of the best new additions to the theme parks. In the parade, you’ll find some of your favorite Disney characters (like Peter Pan, Disney Princesses, and Mirabel). For me, it takes me back to my childhood because many of its elements remind me of the former Main Street Electrical Parade. I just know you’re going to love it regardless if it’s your first or 50th nighttime parade.

The Disney Starlight Parade, from the first float to its last, is less than 15 minutes. Although you can view it from many spots along its route, I recommend watching the first parade from its starting point near the front of Magic Kingdom. My favorite spot is right on the corner outside of the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. You’ll get a great view of the front and sides of each float. This also means that when it’s over, you’ll have a way easier exit to the Disney Monorail.

You’ll take two Disney Monorail rides to get to EPCOT from Magic Kingdom. Hop on the first one that you see (they both go to the Transportation & Ticket Center, or the TTC). From the TTC, take the Monorail that goes toward EPCOT. The rides themselves are around 25-30 minutes in total. However, I’d add for a bit more time due to queueing. Plan for about 40-60 minutes.

I’m wishing on a star that you have the best vacation ever, Nicole! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us here at planDisney if you have more questions about Disney World and beyond.

    Magic always,
    LeAndra
