    How long will it take to get from Magic Kingdom to Rainforest Café for a dinner reservation at 4:30? Family of 5!

    Jeanette:

    If you are headed to the Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney (there is a second location at Animal Kingdom, but I'm guessing you're headed to DD), give yourself plenty of time as there is construction in the area and your ride may hit afternoon business commute time. 

    From the Magic Kingdom, take the monorail or the large ferry to the Transportation and Ticket Center to catch a bus to Downtown Disney. Note: the bus terminal that is outside the gates of Magic Kingdom is only for resort buses. According to the Transportation Wizard at www.ourlaughingplace.com your travel time will be approximately 35 minutes, however, in my experience, this doesn't account for waiting on the ferry or the monorail or up to a 20-minute wait for the bus. The Downtown Disney bus will drop you off with just a few minutes walk to Rainforest Cafe. Because there's no way to budget for the construction, give yourself a good hour to 1.5 hours for your commute.
