    How long do Magic Bands function last ? We have bands from 2019 we used but of course unable to come to Disney World in 2020. Now have August 2021 trip planned. Do I need to order new bands ?

    I’m sure you’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of your vacation! I had to cancel many trips in 2020, and I’m so happy for the fresh year that has given me so many magical experiences at Walt Disney World Resort already! You’re going to be traveling to your happy place in just a few months! 

    Currently, the batteries in MagicBands last at their full capacity for about 2 years on average. Your MagicBands would probably work well enough for you to use; however, you may want to consider getting new MagicBands in order to enjoy ALL of the magical perks they offer! 

    You are more than welcome to select your new MagicBands on the Walt Disney World Resort website, but my favorite way to shop for my new accessories is by way of shopDisney.com! They’ve got the biggest selection, and it’s really simple to link your new bands to your My Disney Experience Account!
