    I am a long lover of Disney World, but a new lover of running. I am excited to mix these two loves together by doing a "run" at WDW. What race would you suggest be my first at WDW? Should I bring my kids too or just make it a girls weekend?

    Hi Tammy!

          I have run two 5K races at Walt Disney World and I'm working toward my first half marathon.  I can tell your that there is absolutely nothing like running through the Magic Kingdom or Epcot before the are open for that day!  I am going to suggest that your first race be during the Princess Half Marathon Weekend on February 24-26, 2012.  There is a Royal Family 5K (your whole family can be involved) and a half marathon (13.1 miles).  You could have fun with the girls and pamper yourselves like a Princess the whole weekend in Walt Disney World or you can bring your whole family.  If you have more running questions be sure to ask them at www.disneyworldmoms.com starting in 2012 because we will have a dedicated runDisney Mom to answer any running questions!
