    Hi! How long should we leave ourselves to get to a 5pm dinner reservation at Whispering Canyon if we are at Magic Kingdom? Is it quickest to take a boat? Where do we catch the boat?

    Hi Kate!

    It's a fairly quick and easy journey from Magic Kingdom over to Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort.

    You'll want to allow yourself a full hour of traveling time to arrive at your destination without stressing or rushing. Head on out of the park gates at 4:00pm. As you pass through the park exit, stay heading straight ahead and you'll see the boat docks. Signage on the large awnings will indicate Disney's Wilderness Lodge as well as Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. As the boats pull in, Cast Members on board will clarify for you which stop(s) that particular vessel will be making, or when the next boat to your destination is due. Much like the buses, you'll find another boat will pull in usually every 10-20 minutes.

    The boat takes about 15 minutes to make its journey and it's quite enjoyable. I highly recommend it as your travel method.

    Upon arrival the Wilderness Lodge dock, simply head on up the boardwalk and into the resort's lobby. Be sure to take in the beautiful scenery along the way. It's a particularly gorgeous property to arrive early at to do some sight-seeing! You'll find the Whispering Canyon Cafe just off the right hand side of the main lobby area.
