How long does the KILIMANJARO SAFARI take? I'm trying to work out the best time to book lunch and we have a FP for 12:10 on the safari. Is a 13:30 table at thr Rainforest Cafe going to be cutting it too fine?

Hi Thandi! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your trip is SO close! I know you must be thrilled that your countdown is nearing the end and you will soon be on your way to your magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort!

The attraction Kilimanjaro Safaris takes about 20-25 minutes and there could be a little wait in the FastPass+ line, although not nearly as long as Stand By (good job snagging that FastPass+!). There is also a bit of a walk between Kilimanjaro Safaris and Rainforest Cafe at Disney's Animal Kingdom, so keep that in mind. With that said, I would think that a 13:30 (1:30 p.m.) lunch reservation would be OK. I suggest arriving at Kilimanjaro Safaris promptly at 12:10 p.m. and enter the FastPass+ queue. Even if the entire wait, safari experience and exit takes you 50 minutes, then a 15 minute casual walk to Rainforest Cafe at Disney's Animal Kingdom, you would still arrive 15 minutes early to your 13:30 (1:30 p.m.) dining reservation, which is the recommended time for arrival.

You can also take a look at the map for Disney's Animal Kingdom to see for yourself the distance between these two locations, with Rainforest Cafe at Disney's Animal Kingdom being situated near the entrance of the theme park and Kilimanjaro Safaris found in the Africa section of the theme park.

I hope this helps with your planning, Thandi! Please visit us again with any other questions you may have!
