How long does it take to go from Magic Kingdom to Animal Kingdom? We have diner reservations at 5:35 at AK, what time do you think we need to leave by?

    Hey, Paulette!

Thank you for stopping by again to ask your question to Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are glad you are back.

Traveling between locations at Walt Disney World Resort is what Tiggers like me do best. I never want to be late like the White Rabbit from Disney's Alice in Wonderland.

I am not sure if you are headed to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Let's look at both scenarios. Trip time via the Walt Disney World Bus Service from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is about 40 minutes and 45 minutes to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. This includes a possible 20 minute wait time for the bus to arrive and depart. The actual ride time is about 20 minutes to each destination. I would leave by 4:45 p.m. to make sure you arrive on time and possibly get seated early.

Disney Dad Tip: The best way to "Get Directions" around Walt Disney World Resort is by using the My Disney Experience Mobile App.

Please stop by again with any more questions to make your Disney vacation special.

Paulette, enjoy making and eating many Magical Memories at Walt Disney World Resort!
