Hello Daria!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am happy to hEAR that you are considering staying at a Disney Resort hotel during your upcoming visit to the place where dreams come true!
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are amazing options. These are truly distinct hotels that offer different experiences. I cannot think of pros and cons for each hotel, I believe the final choice will depend on what your family prefers and what you expect for your stay.
If you have children who love Disney animated movies then I highly recommend staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. You have the option of staying in a Little Mermaid standard room or a beautiful family suite in the Lion King, Finding Nemo or Cars sections. The family suites are beautiful and can accommodate up to 6 Guests. You will have two bathrooms and a small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. It takes no longer than 20 minutes to travel from this hotel to Magic Kingdom Park, and I must say that Landscape of Flavors is hands down the best quick-service location among all Disney Resort hotels. My daughter absolutely loves the pools and playing around the larger than life characters.
If you enjoy the great outdoors and would like the comfort of having your own full kitchen to cook meals then The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort should be your choice. You will also have great entertainment options such as Mickey’s Backyard BBQ, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, and convenient boat access to Magic Kingdom Park.
I hope this helps you decide, Daria! Please stop by real soon if you have additional questions.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
