Hello there, Janet!
From one Marylander to another, welcome to planDisney! Spring has officially sprung at the Walt Disney World Resort, especially at the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. I always enjoy reviewing the
Disney Eats Foodie Guide before I visit to plan out which Outdoor Kitchens I want to sample. I tried the Boneless IMPOSSIBLE Korean Short Rib from the Trowel & Trellis Outdoor Kitchen last year and returned for seconds they were so good.
Now, you brought up an excellent question. Last year,
Springtime Surprise Weekend was the first weekend in April, and Easter was about two weeks later, but this year, Springtime Surprise Weekend comes after Easter. In
2022, the Easter egg displays at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort hung around for about two or three days after the holiday. Unfortunately, I think you’ll miss the displays and the Grand Cottage, but I recommend checking the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and dates regarding Easter treats to confirm. The egg-shaped masterpieces are breathtaking, and the goodies from the Grand Cottage are so special- I hope you get to see them.
I’ve had good luck finding seasonal treats at
The Ganachery at Disney Springs or
Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom Park in the past, but usually, these treats only stick around through the holiday date. Around Christmas, The Ganachery makes an adorable Olaf Hot Chocolate Bomb, but they typically sell out in the morning. I hope some of these treats stick around for your visit, but I know you’ll feel the springtime magic at the Walt Disney World Resort no matter what.
May the magic be with you! Melanie
