Hello Mary Ann! I have such fond memories of staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground! It was one of my favorite and most memorable vacations!
The
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort will most likely only accommodate one vehicle, but not a small RV. I recommend that you book a Fort Wilderness Cabin and continue to check on campsite availability. You still have over half a year before your planned travel and something may very well open up for you! Another recommendation would be to book the cabin to stay in. If a campsite opens, you can book the campsite (which are all reasonably priced) to park the RV while you still enjoy the accommodations of the cabin!
Mary Ann, I always recommend that Guests of the Fort Wilderness Campground or Cabins consider
renting a golf cart during their stay. Not only does it make getting around much more convenient, but they are also a lot of fun to use as you explore your home away from home at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Also, as an extra tip, be sure to go to
Trail's End Restaurant for dinner! The food served here is some of my favorite at the Walt Disney World Resort! The buffet has everything! I pile the shrimp high on my plate!
You still have plenty of time as you continue to plan your vacation. Feel free to come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any other questions!
