How long does it take to drive to Epcot and Magic Kingdom from Yacht Club and from Animal Kingdom Lodge? If you stay at on-site at a Disney hotel is it free to park at the parks?

    Hi Nicholas,

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I see you are planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. Is it coming up soon? I hope so! I am also counting down the minutes to our next family vacation.

Among the many Benefits of Staying at Disney Resort Hotels, Guests receive complimentary standard Parking at all Theme Parks. Driving within the Resort is easy and would take you about 10-15 minutes to reach Epcot and the Transportation and Ticket Center from Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and an extra five minutes from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Remember that you will need extra time to take a tram form the parking lot to the entrance at Epcot, and also additional time to travel via Ferry Boat or Monorail to reach the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park. We always drive down from New Jersey; however, today I prefer to use the complimentary Resort Transportation to move around the whole Resort. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.

One last tip: be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app. It will help with all aspects of your vacation, including real-time directions throughout the whole Resort when walking or taking Resort Transportation. See you real soon!
