How long will the Disney World Christmas decorations be up for? My family will be going to Disney World for New Years and we were hoping to see the Christmas decorations.

Hi Gwen! The holidays are my favorite time of the year to be at Walt Disney World. It is a magical place no matter when you visit but there is just something extra special during the Christmas time.

The week between Christmas and ending at New Years is a busy but fun week. All of the decorations will stay up until a few days after New Years. Check out all the different things to see and do on the Holidays at Disney World page. Grab some special reservations for dining or Fireworks shows. Definitely head to some of the resorts to see the amazing decorations. The Grand Floridian has a life sized gingerbread house erected in their lobby. The Beach Club has a full size carrousel made from chocolate in their lobby. Because it is a busy time in the parks it is also a great time to just walk and enjoy your surroundings and feel the magic in the air.

The Illumination holiday addition will bring tears to your eyes. The snow  that falls from the sky at different times in the parks is surreal. Top that off with the unbelievable fireworks shows on New Years Eve and you are guaranteed of a vacation you will never forget. Enjoy the Disney magic!
