How long do I have to use my Disney dining credits?

Hi Amelia, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this most appetizing question! As I am a huge fan of the Disney Dining Plan, and add it to most of our Walt Disney World Resort reservations, I would be pleased to help you out.

Amelia, when adding the Disney Dining Plan to your Walt Disney World Resort reservation, all meal and snack credits for each person for the entire duration of your stay will be available for use starting at the time of check-in, and will not expire until midnight on your day of check out. This is a great feature, as it allows guests a great deal of flexibility when planning their vacation dining experiences and deciding when and where they wish to use their dining and snack credits.

If you are a fan of MagicBand technology and convenience, you will undoubtedly love the Disney Dining Plan, as it allows guests to redeem their meal and snack credits with a simple tap of their MagicBand. Therefore, if your travel party splits up at any point during your vacation, it is not necessary for each guest to carry cash or credit cards as a simple tap of your MagicBand will not only unlock your Disney Resort room door, access room charging privileges and FastPasses, but they are also the means by which guest redeem Disney Dining Plan credits.

Don't forget that Disney Dining Reservations open 180 days in advance, with Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests being able to book dining for their entire length of stay starting 180 days prior to check-in.

Amelia, I hope this information is helpful as you continue with your trip planning. Should you have any other questions about the Disney Dining Plan, or anything else, please be sure to let us know.

    Bon Appétit!
