How long will the Christmas lights be up? TIA

    Hi Tracy! Welcome to planDisney!

I like to say that there are two things I always know: 1) how many days until my next Walt Disney World Resort vacation and 2) how many days until Christmas. (As of this writing, Christmas is 342 days away, in case you were wondering. Ha!) When I can combine Christmas decorations AND my happy place together, I am in heaven!

Typically, the Christmas decorations come down shortly after the first week of January. During one of my January trips to the Walt Disney World Resort, I arrived to a gorgeous Christmas tree and holiday garland at my Disney Resort hotel one day, and awoke to find it had all disappeared overnight! However, I have seen pictures from my fellow planDisney Panelists that are currently enjoying some time at The Most Magical Place on Earth, and they show that there are still some Christmas decorations to behold. While I can't guarantee they will still be up when you visit in a few days, you might just be able to catch a glimpse after all!

Since you will begin packing for your trip soon, here is a link to a great Disney Parks Blog article with tips on items to bring with you. I hope it helps as you prepare! Please let us know if you have any other questions, Tracy!
