How long will the 50th celebration last? We are interested in going but won't be able to make it this year but still want to go

    Hi there, Carrie!

I'm so happy to hEAR you're making plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort as all four theme parks will be joining in to commemorate the 50th Anniversary. The World's Most Magical Celebration begins October 1, 2021, and will be an 18-month event! The celebration will last through March 2023, so you'll have plenty of time to plan that Disney vacation you're dreaming about!

Here are some of the awesome offerings Guests will be able to enjoy during the 18-month celebration:

    • Beacons of Magic - special projection lighting packages will illuminate all four theme park icons, which include: Cinderella Castle (Magic Kingdom Park), Spaceship Earth (Epcot), The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Disney's Hollywood Studios), and the Tree of Life (Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park).
    • Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is set to open on October 1 in the France Pavilion in World Showcase at Epcot. Guests will feel like they've shrunk down to Remy's size for this 4D adventure based on Pixar's Ratatouille. This all-sizes, all-ages attraction is sure to become a family favorite!
    • Disney Fab 50 Character Collection - 50 golden statues of beloved Disney Characters will be placed throughout all four theme parks to celebrate the Golden Anniversary.
    • Disney Kite Tails - Colorful kites and windcatchers will dance through the air at Discovery River Amphitheater at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
    • TWO new Nighttime Spectaculars will debut on October 1 - Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom Park and Harmonious at Epcot!

I'm sure there will be more magical experiences added as the celebration continues, and I can't wait to see what's in store. I hope you'll be able to plan a visit during this time to enjoy the 50th Anniversary!
