How long will the celebration of the Electrical Light Parade be? (month/year)

    Hi Lori!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending this Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR!

The Main Street Electrical Parade is one of my all-time favorite Disney things, spanning four generations in my family; my mom saw it when she was a tween with her mom, she shared it with me when I was a little girl, and I had the joy of watching the thousands of sparkling lights entertain my own Mouseketeer a few yEARs ago during the last limited-time run. I'm both happy and sad to say that we just recently lEARned of the end date for this 50th Anniversary surprise reprise, which is Sept 1. I'm happy to share that we both have about six more weeks to make our way West to catch the parade in its electro-syntho-magnetic best, but sad at the same time because who knows when or where the next opportunity to catch these floats will be. (Fingers cross for 'not too long' and 'at Walt Disney World Resort; they've been without a nighttime parade for almost a decade now, and I could see this parade crisscrossing back across the country to fill that void.)

If, like me, you're not sure if you'll make it out that way this summer, you can watch the recording of the 2019 return of the Main Street Electrical Parade on the Disney Parks YouTube channel any time you'd like. And there's still quite a bit of the Main Street Electrical Parade 50th Anniversary merchandise collection on ShopDisney.com!

I hope that this answer helped to plan some upcoming, last-minute Disneyland days (for both of us!) Lori! (Follow the Disney Parks account while you're there, so you'll be sure to hEAR about the next time this parade makes its return!)
