Hi Julie,
Welcome to planDisney!
Well, this dining question is one that tugs at my heart! My husband and I stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort on a trip we took while I was at a conference. We used my free time to research the trip we wanted to plan for our girls' first trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort. And, on our most recent trip, we enjoyed breakfast at
Steakhouse 71. I would suggest that you give yourselves an hour to get from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Steakhouse 71 at Disney's Contemporary Resort if you are planning to use resort transportation. If you plan to use
Disney Minnie Van™ Service Connected by Lyft or to use another ride share service, 30 minutes should be enough time.
If you plan to use
resort transportation, you could take the bus from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to Magic Kingdom and then, from Magic Kingdom, you could walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort or take
Walt Disney World® Monorail Transportation to Disney's Contemporary Resort. My family loves walking to Disney Contemporary's Resort from Magic Kingdom. Of course, if you will have little ones with you, the monorail is a fun experience as well.
If you have not done so already, take a look at the
menu for Steakhouse 71. We always take some time before our trips to review the menus of the dining locations we plan to visit. We all make sure we can find something to eat (our girls both have food allergies) and we also do a price estimate for each meal. Doing so gives us a good idea of what we will spend on food for a given trip. This is especially helpful if we are not using one of the
Disney Dining Plans.
Julie, I hope this helps! Happy Planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
