How long should it take to get from Caribbean Beach Resort to Mickey's Backyard BBQ?

    Hi Marybeth!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Mickey's Backyard BBQ is an adorable, fun dinner event. You're going to love it!

The distance between Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds is only about five miles or a 15 minute drive. However, once you arrive at the resort, you will take a bus from the main entrance parking area. See below from the Walt Disney World website:
    Guests Using Their Own Vehicles
You will be directed to park at the entrance to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground or—during major holiday periods—at a nearby satellite lot. Please allow an additional 30 minutes for bus transportation from your parking location to the event.

If you want to use the Walt Disney World bus system, you should allow about an hour and a half of travel time. You can take your resort bus to the Magic Kingdom and then use the ferry to get to the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

It is recommended that you arrive around 50 minutes before your scheduled dining time. Seating begins up to 20 minutes prior to the event.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
