How long do I have to cancel a resort reservation before my stay?

    Hi Lisa!

Oh my goodness. You are planning to arrive at Walt Disney World Resort at a truly magical time of year. While I hope you are able to move forward with your vacation, I absolutely understand and appreciate you wanting to be prepared just in case your plans change.

While this information is subject to change, for a Disney Resort Hotel Package, if you need to cancel within 29 days to 2 days prior to your arrival date, there is a $200 penalty per room, plus any cancellation fees assessed by other suppliers. If you need to cancel your reservation 1 day prior to your arrival, the vacation package is nonrefundable.

As a reminder, if you do need to cancel your vacation package reservation, make sure you also cancel any other reservations such as dining, tours or recreation too.

Thanks so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm sending happy thoughts and lots of pixie-dust your way. I so hope you are able to visit Walt Disney World Resort this coming December.

    Have a magical day!
