How long do the buses take from Coronada Springs resort to the theme parks?

    Hi Suzie!

Welcome to planDisney!  Thanks for stopping by planDisney with a great question!  Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is simply beautiful.  I stayed here a few years ago during the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend and my friend and I enjoyed relaxing around the property and lounging by the pool between races.  You'll also find several great dining options including Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood as well as the gorgeous Dahlia Lounge.

Suzie, when you're ready to leave your resort and visit the theme parks, Disney's complimentary bus transportation will be there to whisk you away!  Resort transportation usually begins about 45 minutes before Early Theme Park Entry.  From your resort to the theme parks may take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes depending on the park you are visiting and the traffic with the longest bus ride being to Magic Kingdom Park.  However, the ride time on the bus is not the only thing to consider when planning for bus transportation.  Due to the size of Coronado Springs, there are four internal bus stops and buses run about every 20 minutes or so.  When considering those extra factors, I would be at a bus stop at least an hour before any advanced dining reservations or tours that I need to make.  I like to check bus times in the My Disney Experience Mobile App before leaving my room so I know when to anticipate the next bus arriving.  You can find these wait times located with your Hotel Reservation information in the app.

If you find an occasion where you need a quicker transportation option, you can always check availability for a Minnie Van.  These adorable vans are available in the Lyft app exclusively for travel within Walt Disney World Resort.  There is a fee to use this service, but you'll have direct transportation to your destination without having to wait for the next bus and travel throughout the resort to each bus stop before leaving.

Suzie, I hope this information helps as you continue planning for your visit to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort!  If you would like even more information about transportation around Walt Disney World Resort, I'd encourage you to give a listen to the planDisney Podcast where my pals Nimmy and Lizzie chatted about this very topic earlier this year.  I hope you'll stop by to see us again if you have any more vacation planning questions in the future!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
