How long does the bus ride take from the Contemporary to Hollywood Studios? And to Animal Kingdom? How long is monorail trip from Contemporary to Epcot? Thinking about getting home after dinner with three kids 6yrs and under. Thanks!

    Hi Helen,

I, too, have traveled with three kids 6 and under so I completely understand your desire to plan ahead!

You should always plan on transportation taking you at least an hour from your resort to any of the theme parks. Here is why: The buses come approximately every 20 minutes. You never know if you've just missed one (so you'll need to wait a while), or if one is coming around the bend (so you'll be ahead of schedule). The ride itself would take roughly 15 - 20 minutes from the Contemporary to Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom, but that can vary greatly depending on traffic. As far as the monorail ride from the Contemporary to Epcot, you should plan on an hour as well, although it will likely take you less than that. The monorails come more frequently than the buses do. However, you'll be on the "Resort Loop" of the monorail and you'll need to transfer at the "Transportation and Ticket Center" and board a different monorail to Epcot.

I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful time with your family! Please let me know if I can assist you further, I absolutely love helping guests plan their Disney vacations,
