How long is the bus ride from art of animation to typhoon lagoon?

Welcome back to planDisney, Cynthia! It's wonderful to have you back with us for help on your upcoming water park day!

If you’re staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and heading over to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, you’ll want to plan a little bit of extra travel time. The ride itself usually takes about 15 minutes once you’re on the bus, but depending on the time of day, you may need to allow up to 45 minutes total.

That gives you a cushion for waiting on the next bus to arrive and for making any necessary transfers, since buses don’t always run directly from every resort to the water parks.

Sometimes you’ll be routed through Disney Springs, since Typhoon Lagoon is located right across the street from there. In that case, you may need to hop off and transfer to a water park bus, which can add a little extra time.

My advice is to be at the bus stop about an hour before you want to be splashing in the water. That way, you don’t feel rushed, and you’ll have plenty of time to get settled before diving into the fun.

If you find that you are in a rush, you can always reserve a rideshare, like Uber or Lyft, to take you straight to Typhoon Lagoon.

Have a splashtacular time at Typhoon Lagoon and come see us again if you have more questions!
