How long of a boat trip from Port Orleans to Disney Springs?

Welcome to planDisney, Lori! Your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just a few days away, and you've chosen one of my favorite Disney Resort hotels - Port Orleans! Whether you're staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside or Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, you're going to be immersed in southern charm! A Louisiana girl myself, this resort reminds me of home and always delivers magical memories!

Lori, both Port Orleans Resorts are nestled along the Sassagoula River, which offers a unique mode of water transportation over to Disney Springs. The boat ride is about 15 to 20 minutes and takes you along the river past the treehouses of Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa before docking at the dining and entertainment hub. Keep in mind that the boats run consistently, but there can sometimes be a wait to board, so if you're headed to a dining reservation, be sure to allow yourself an extra 20-30 minutes for transportation time!

While you're staying at Port Orleans, be sure to stop by Scat Cat's Club-Cafe to sample the Mickey-shaped beignets; this is one of my family's favorite snacks to enjoy! You can also opt to enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride along the Sassagoula River if you're looking for another unique resort experience!

I hope this helps, Lori! I know you're going to have a magical time! If you have any other questions before your visit, come see us again here at planDisney! We're all ears!

    See you real soon,
    Alison
