How long do the batteries in the Glow with the Show ears last? Is there anywhere to change the batteries? I know the compartment needs a screwdriver to open...do I need to bring one from home if the batteries won't last 12 nights?

    Kelly:

Although your Glow with the Show ears come with AAA batteries so you can wear it right away in the park, the lifetime of those batteries depends on their strength and will be difficult to estimate. When I bought mine last June, they lasted for two nights in the park and then I put them away until fall. Come October, though, they didn't turn on again, so I had to replace the batteries.

I would go with the assumption that if you want to use them every night of your trip that you bring at least one set of three AAA batteries as replacements and a small Phillips head screwdriver to open the battery compartment located in the bottom of the hat--which I admit makes it sit a little higher on my head than I'd like but makes the shows more magical.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
