Hi there A, and welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you're considering a totally tubular stay at
Disney's Pop Century Resort. Far out! My son and I just returned from a groovy getaway to this resort, and I'd be happy to help you out.
The
Disney Skyliner is my absolute favorite way to travel around Walt Disney World these days. I love the convenience, the panoramic views, and the serenity of gliding over Hourglass Lake en route to the theme parks. While wait times to board certainly vary, and are usually longest around park opening and closing times, the one-way trip from Disney's Pop Century Resort to
EPCOT should take between 20 and 30 minutes. This includes transfer time at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, where you will disembark and board a new gondola on the
Disney's Riviera Resort/EPCOT line. When you arrive at your destination, you'll enter EPCOT through the International Gateway, and I recommend making your first stop
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie to get your day started with a sweet or savory French treat. Bon appétit!
Regarding the swimming pools at Disney's Pop Century Resort,
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and
Disney's All-Star Moves Resort, pending any refurbishments or maintenance issues, they are open 365 days a year and are heated to a temperature suitable for swimming in almost any kind of weather. My family and I enjoyed a January stay at Disney's Riviera Resort, and my Mouseketeers made a splash in our resort pool even when the weather wasn't exactly Olaf-approved. The water warm and the poolside games kept everyone busy. As someone who travels from the northeast, I love that I can just keep swimming all year round in Walt Disney World!
I hope this is helpful as you plan for a November visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. You'll be just in time to experience the beginning of the
50th-anniversary celebration, so stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog and
follow planDisney on social media to keep up with all of the exciting happenings coming our way this fall. Thanks for stopping by with your question, and we'll see ya real soon!
