How long should I allow for travel time from the Campsites at Fort Wilderness to Jiko? Would it be better to drive my car or should I rely on Disney transportation (if so, which forms of transportation/which stops/etc.)?

    Hi Deanna,

If you have a car at your disposal, then I would definitely recommend that you drive from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground to Jiko.  It will be faster and you won't have to transfer buses.  If you are driving, I would plan no less than thirty minutes to reach your destination.  If you are taking complimentary Disney buses (from Fort Wilderness to Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park and then from the Animal Kingdom theme park to Jambo House at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge), you should expect the route to take roughly one hour.

Have a lovely meal at Jiko!  Definitely reserve some time to explore the lobby at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge while you're there.  It is gorgeous and there are so many nooks and crannies to discover.  Of course, you'll also want to wander out and watch the amazing animals on the savanna too!

    Have fun!
