How long in advance do I need to cancel a dining reservation

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mitra!

You can cancel your dining reservation online or by calling Disney Dining at (407) 939-3463. Please remember that restaurants maintain their own cancellation policy. The cancellation policy is provided at the time of booking, as well as in your email confirmation upon booking, so you may wish to refer to your email confirmation for specific details to avoid unnecessary charges. Restaurants that take advance reservations charge a per-person cancellation fee if cancelled after the designated cancellation period, or if Guests do not show up.

Typically, my experience for most Disney dining venues has been that my credit card was not charged unless I canceled after 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the day before my arrival, or if I failed to show up for my dinner reservation. Again, this experience may be different depending on each restaurant’s cancellation policy.

Mom’s Tip: Be sure to add a valid credit card to your Disney account which makes the booking process easier online or through your My Disney Experience mobile app.

We hope this information is helpful, Mitra, wish you many excellent Disney dining experiences during your visit where exciting Disney adventures await your arrival.
