How long in advance do you need to book disney world

    Hi Karin!

Your question makes my heart so happy! I'm so excited to see you planning a future Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Depending on the time of year you plan to visit; you may want to book your reservation as soon as possible. Holidays and events, such as runDisney race weekends, are very popular and Resort hotels can fill up quickly.

You may book a room-only reservation 499 days in advance and once vacation packages are released, you can upgrade to a package. You can call 407-560-CHAT (2428) to reserve your room at a non-guaranteed rate. At that time, you can also begin making payments toward your future Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Plus, if you have paid for your vacation in full, or you are almost finished paying and a new offer comes along, you can modify it to take advantage of the offer as long as it is available.

If there is a specific Resort hotel you plan to stay at, I encourage you to book when you are able.

Thank you so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There is so much to see, do and experience at Walt Disney World Resort. Please let me know if you need any other information as you plan your magical vacation!
