Hi, Linda! Thanks for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
First of all, let me say that this sounds like a FABULOUS way to spend an evening at
Walt Disney World Resort--especially in early December. While I do think it’s possible to combine your dinner reservation with your fireworks cruise, I don’t think you’ll be able to fit in the 7 p.m. carriage ride.
Guests with confirmed dining reservations are allowed up to two hours of complimentary parking at a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel, so your
Trail’s End Restaurant reservation will allow you to park your car at
The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. You’ll park in the main lot and then use the
Walt Disney World Bus Service to get from the central bus stop to Trail’s End. Make sure you give yourselves 20-30 minutes for that trip as the bus will make several stops at different campground loops along the way.
If the fireworks at
Magic Kingdom Park are scheduled for 9 p.m. on the night of your reservation for
Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise, though, you’ll need to be prepared to board your boat to the left of the Ferryboat launch at the Transportation and Ticket Center no later than 8 p.m. The boat will leave 50 minutes prior to the fireworks and there will be no further boarding after that time. While you can travel from the Fort Wilderness Resort to the Transportation and Ticket Center, you’ll need to stop at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort or Magic Kingdom Park to transfer to the
Resort Monorail to do so. You’ll want to give yourselves 30-45 minutes at the minimum to make this trip. (I’d suggest at least an hour just to be safe.)
If you want to do all three events in the same evening, I would recommend reserving a spot for the 5:30 p.m.
Horse Drawn Excursion - Carriage Ride at Fort Wilderness, then a 6 p.m. reservation at Trail’s End. Spend about 45 minutes to an hour enjoying the Trail’s End self-serve buffet and then use the boat or bus transportation from that area to Magic Kingdom Park or Disney’s Contemporary Resort to catch the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center. (Alternatively, you can hire Disney’s
Minnie Van Service to get you from Fort Wilderness to the Transportation and Ticket Center. That’s less than a 10-minute drive.)
Hopefully one of these options works for you, Linda! Enjoy your Magical evening at Walt Disney World Resort.
