Ahoy, Michelle!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so sorry to hear that you were unable to reserve a private cabana on
Castaway Cay. Those private cabanas get scooped up as quickly as the Mickey-shaped waffles at the
Cabanas' breakfast buffet! I understand you being disappointed because they are wonderful. Even if you don't have a private cabana booked by the time the ship docks at Castaway Cay, you will still have an incredible time on the island!
There is a possibility you can still reserve one! A current Guest's plans might change resulting in them releasing their already-reserved private cabana. I suggest logging into the Disney Cruise Line website and checking the availability for the private cabanas every so often before your cruise sets sail. If you step onboard the ship and are still cabana-less, sail on over to the
Port Adventures Desk on embarkation day to see if any have become available. If one hasn't, I recommend asking if there is a waiting list you can be put on!
Michelle, I am sending you tons of pixie dust in the hopes that a private cabana becomes available! If you aren't able to reserve a piece of property on paradise, there are an abundance of beach chairs, umbrellas and lounge chairs all beneath the shade of beautiful palm trees on both Castaway Family Beach and the adults-only beach, Serenity Bay!
