Hi, Harriet!
There is nothing like staying at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. I love watching the
monorail zoom through the Grand Canyon Concourse! But my favorite part is that you can walk to the Magic Kingdom. It is just so convenient!
To get to
Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios, head to the bus stop located outside the lobby of the resort. While there is no set
schedule for the buses, you should never wait longer than 20 minutes for a bus to take you to your destination. There are monitors at the bus stop that will let you know when your bus will be arriving which is super helpful.
Each bus will be marked with its destination, so just watch for your bus to pull up. After picking up at the Contemporary, your bus may also stop at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa before heading to the theme parks. Plan on about a 25-30 minute commute to either theme park.
If your destination is Epcot, you will want to board the monorail inside your resort. Hop off at the first stop (Transportation and Ticket Center) and transfer to the Epcot line. This monorail ride is so fun, as it loops Epcot before dropping you off at the front gates. It is a fun way to see the park before starting your day of fun!
Enjoy your magical stay at the Contemporary! If time allows, make a dining reservation at Chef Mickey's. You will get to meet Mickey and all his pals while enjoying a delicious feast. Have fun!
