Bonjour Marie-Helene,
Welcome to
planDisney! I'm always happy to answer a question from a fellow Canadian, thanks for stopping by. Your Disney World vacation is a month away - the excitement must be building! When I'm planning a Disney vacation, it always feels good to get travel logistics in place so let's take a look at your question about transportation from the airport.
Over the years, my family has travelled to Walt Disney World Resort from the MCO airport in a variety of ways. When we travel in a smaller group and don't rent a vehicle, our go-to transportation is using a ride-share service like Uber or Lyft. It's very easy to find the ride-share pick-up area at the airport: the pick-up point is located on Level 2, on the arrivals curb. I tend to book a ride as soon as we disembark which helps minimize any waiting.
When booking your rideshare, enter the following address for
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort: 1114 Cayman Way, Lake Buena Vista. This is the drop-off point at the Main lobby and where you'll need to check-in. You can choose to use the Online Check-In service if you prefer - this will allow you to head directly to your room when it's ready and use your Disney MagicMobile Pass or Disney Band (known as MagicBands in the U.S.) to open the door.
I recommend setting aside some time to enjoy Caribbean Beach Resort, there are so many fun things to do! My kids can't get enough of the
Fuentes del Morro Pool - it's so much fun! The water paradise has a pirate theme - you'll feel like you're swimming at a colonial Spanish fortress! We like to end a resort day roasting marshmallows around the campfire. If you're interested in joining, head to the main beach near Martinique between 6 PM and 7 PM daily.
I hope this information helps check off a box on your to-do list, Marie-Helene. Have a wonderful stay at Caribbean Beach Resort and please
let me know if you have any other questions!
Enjoy making magical memories,
Candace
