Greetings, Leana, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s great to have you hEAR!
I’m thrilled to report that the Disneyland Resort does still offer a comfortable, shaded
Picnic Area located just outside the Main Entrance of Disneyland Park. You’ll pass by it after exiting the tram from the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals Parking Structures, if you happen to park there. Plus, there are also
Locker Rentals adjacent to this Picnic Area, so you can store your coolers between meals to avoid carrying them with you throughout your Disney days.
According to the
Disneyland Resort Rules, you’re welcome to bring any food items with you into the theme parks, so long as they’re not in any glass containers (excluding the small containers used for baby food jars). You can package your food or drinks (excluding alcohol) in coolers or backpacks, so long as they don’t exceed 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. It’s also a good idea to pack re-usable ice packs, since loose ice isn’t permitted in these containers. Also, keep in mind that all bags or coolers will be opened at the Security Checkpoint leading into the parks, so you’ll want to have them handy in an easy-to-reach spot.
Some of my children’s favorite theme-park snacks include crackers, granola bars, fruit snacks, and food pouches. I also like to bring a water bottle for each member of our family, so we can fill them up at the
water refill stations throughout the day. If you prefer to travel lighter, you can also ask for a complimentary cup of ice water at any
quick-service restaurant location.
Can you believe
the holidays are already upon us? You won’t want to miss a minute of the magic! From
Halloween Time to the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, the next three months are my favorite time to visit the parks!
Hope to see ya’ real soon!
