Hi Gordon,
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with a question about the Water Parks, I'm happy to see that you're planning ahead for your upcoming visit! My family visited both
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach last week while visiting
Walt Disney World Resort - it was a great way to keep cool in the Florida heat. My kids couldn't get enough of the slides and the lazy rivers, but their absolute favourite was jumping the massive waves in the
Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool (it's North America's largest wave pool!). The wave schedule is posted on the chalkboard at the edge of the beach, so if you're looking for the big waves, you can plan out your day.
Renting an umbrella is a great way to beat the strong Florida sun. At this time, U.K.-based Guests are not able to pre-book
umbrellas/Polar Patios/Beachcomber Shacks, but you can try making a reservation by phone once you have arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you're looking to rent an umbrella while at the water parks, head to the Overlook at Typhoon Lagoon (it's off to the right as you enter the theme park) and the Beach Haus rental desk at Blizzard Beach. Both locations are not far from the locker area.
If you're looking to
rent a locker, there are two sizes available (at the moment, pricing is as follows: standard lockers are $10 per day and large lockers are $15 per day). The locker areas are located in a central location near the park entrance and next to the main changerooms. When you enter the park, hang a right, and you can't miss them!
I've got great news for you, Gordon! You don't need to worry about bringing a towel with you, as complimentary towels are currently available for all water park Guests. You can pick up towels at Singapore Sal's (Typhoon Lagoon) and the Beach Haus (Blizzard Beach) and pop them into one of the towel return bins stationed around the parks when you're finished.
Tip: If you're looking to head straight to
Crush 'n Gusher at Typhoon Lagoon at park opening when it's busy, stop off at the change room and use the rear exit - it will bring you right where you'll want to be, and you'll skip some foot traffic along the way.
I hope this information is helpful, Gordon. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to
reach out.
Safe travels!
Candace
