are their lockers to lock up a back pack in at the disney world parks? ALSO what are the policies for a back pack being carried on a ride?

    Hi Brandy,

For guests' convenience, lockers are available in all of the Theme Parks, both Water Parks and at Downtown Disney for a small fee.  Click HERE for specific locations of lockers at each of these locations.

Regarding carrying your back pack on a ride, you should not have a problem if you prefer to carry it.  I am know for having most of my medicine cabinet and kitchen in my "park" bag, along with my camera and camcorder (get the picture), and have never had a problem fitting it along with me on a ride, including Space Mountain and Big Thunder.  A lot of moms or "designated vacation bag carriers" opt to bring along a smaller bag where they can keep their tickets, room keys and other small valuables with them on rides, and leave the "big" bag in the stroller or with a non-riding family member.  Some people use lanyards with small pouches attached (similar to what you would use to carry an office ID) around their necks for park tickets, fast passes, some cash etc.

Please note that as you enter the parks, guests with bags will be asked to go through security lines where officers will ask that you open your bags.  There is a slightly shorter line for visitors with no bags.  As my family's "bag lady", however,  I have never had the chance to go through it!

    Have a great trip!
