Jambo!, Lisa and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. After a long Canadian winter there is nothing that warms the heart and imagination like a trip to the place "where dreams come true." Mickey and the gang are ready to spread the pixie dust and show you a fantastic time.
Kali River Rapids is the one attraction my family likes to ride over and over. We get there right after the theme park opens and instead of heading to Avatar Flight of Passage or Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, we hop on our favorite 12-person raft for a trip down the Chakranadi River. Once we did it eight times in a row. Each time we hope to get on the "Sherpa Surfer" or the "Kathmandoozy" raft. The rafts used to have a water sealed compartment but those were removed for the lockers.
The
Kali River Rapids Expedition Storage Lockers across from Kali River Rapids are complimentary for two hours (on a first-come, first-served basis). You can reserve a locker at the electronic kiosk by receiving a locker and creating a PIN number. The locker is code protected, metal, and sealed tight to keep all your valuables safe. Make sure to remember your PIN and locker number. If there are no lockers available just wait a few minutes as they turn over quickly. No need to worry about loonies and "toonies."
Disney Dad Tip: While at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park take the path between Asia and Africa. Some of the best
Tree of Life photos are made from this location and, if you are lucky, you will spot hidden in plain site, DiVine. She is outstanding.
Lisa, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
