Ahoy there, Courtney, and welcome to planDisney! It looks like you’ll be sailing to one of my very favorite destinations in the world:
Disney’s Castaway Cay. It will be my pleasure to help you with your question and make your trip as magical as possible.
Because I want to soak up every moment possible on Disney’s private island, I try to be one of the first Guests to get off the ship and one of the last to get back onboard. While you will not find lockers on Castaway Cay, I pack all my items for the day in a beach bag with a zipper (usually the one I receive in my stateroom at the beginning of my cruise for being a
Castaway Club member). Then, if I’m going in the ocean, on a bike ride, or running the Castaway Cay 5K, I just leave my bag on my beach chair and cover it with a towel.
Speaking of towels, you don’t need to bring your own beach towels on any Disney Cruise because they are provided for you, both on the ship and on the island. As soon as you disembark at Castaway Cay, you’ll find friendly Cast Members handing out fresh towels, and then you can return used towels to a bin on the dock before reboarding. I also pack two colorful towel clips for each member of our travel party. Since everyone uses the same towels, this helps us not only differentiate our space, but keeps the towels secured to our lounge chairs.
And I couldn’t answer your Castaway Cay question without mentioning my favorite restaurant on the island: Serenity Bay BBQ. In addition to the traditional offerings like burgers and pasta salad, you’ll also find some elevated adult fare like steaks and even fresh salsas to complement your island lunch. For a truly decadent dessert, I take two cookies and make an ice cream sandwich with the free soft-serve ice cream found on the island (strawberry is my favorite!).
Courtney, however you decide to spend your day at Castaway Cay, it’s sure to be the favorite spot of your trip. If you think of any other questions before your departure, please visit us again here at

Bon voyage,
Sami
