where can i locate the rules and guidelines for grad nite

    Hi Stephanie,

Grad Nite at California Adventure is such a fun and wonderful experience! It’s important to make sure the fun isn’t dampened by issues at the security check-in, so I’m here to give you a quick rundown of the rules and guidelines for Grad Nite.

The rules and guidelines for Grad Nite include all the typical park rules and policies that the Disneyland Resort normally enforces. However, there are a few additional points that may stand out to Grad Nite participants.

You can only bring small bags. Students and their belongings will be thoroughly checked upon arrival at Disneyland. If you're used to packing a bag that includes warm clothes, you’ll need to get creative about how to carry those items.

You cannot bring outside food and drinks that are not factory sealed. If you eat a snack or hydrate on the bus, you won’t be able to bring that item inside. I made the mistake of opening my gum on the bus and had to discard the pack before passing through security.

I recommend checking in with the person organizing Grad Nite for your school to get a complete list of rules and guidelines, along with any additional requirements or expectations from your school for the night.

While you're at Grad Nite, Stephanie, be sure to snap a photo with the different characters in their caps and gowns! When I went earlier in May, I saw Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy, Mater, and Stitch! These characters rarely appear in caps and gowns except for special events like this, so don’t miss the chance to grab one of these unique photos.

Stephanie, I hope this info helps you make the most of this incredible night! If you have any more questions or want extra tips for future trips, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to add a little extra sparkle to your planning.

    Enjoy Grad Nite!
